I recently got a 6600gt .. but my power supply was a 350w with low 12V rail..
so i didnt use the card much (and removed it after some time ) but started facing problems with the comp ...
when these were fixed, is thought of reinstalling xp..
\and now i see that when i burn a disc or try to boot from cd, comp restarts automatically.. and gives me in POST.. comp was shut down due to thermal event(overheating)...
i'm pretty sure that my motherboard and processor were not overheating since i was keeping track of their temps.. so is it possible that my psu is damaged and is not able to supply proper current to the cd drive?? and i WILL have to change it?
