Need help weeding through my HJT log

Please post the entire log including the header information... It is not safe for us to work on partial logs...

Also, note what you have done to try to fix the problem and what you mean by "explorer"... Is that Internet Explorer??

I have done norton virus scans, and adaware set up the way this forum reccomends. My problem is everytime i run a windows explorer based window, my cpu usage jumps up to 100% and programs stop reponding. its gotten to the point that i dont even use the windows explorer anymore and i just start progs out of my task manager.

Open an HJT scan and put a check by:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WhenUSave] "C:\Program Files\Save\Save.exe"

Close all open windows except HJT and press Fix checked...

Find and delete this folder:

C:\Program Files\Save

I doubt this will solve your problem, so it would be good to also run an Ewido scan...

Please download, install, and update the NEW free version of Ewido trojan scanner (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/):

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

When you run ewido for the first time, you may get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.

From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.

After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run.

Check "Perform action with all infections".

When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again.


Reboot and post a fresh HJT scan and the Ewido log...
