CAN I UPGRADE MY CPU WHAT DO U NEED TO KNOW

Current system info. CPU type mainly. But post detailed system info so we have an isdea what you're working with. CPU, memory, video card, etc. and motherboard brand and model if you know it.

hi pete heres what i have i got this off win 95 disk MSD
comp name ast biosmaufacturer award bios version award module

processer 486dx bus type isa/at/classic bus dma controller yes.cascade,

im running 100mhz now i was thinking i might buy another cpu to speed
about 233mhz i have socket 3 cpu is 3volts
at bottom of my screen when i boot on it has this efar-ec802g-
b-2c403001-00 if i can speed this up with a cpu where would i get one.bythe

I copied and pasted that from your other post, which will be locked to avoid confusion.
That's a 486, the fastest CPU you can get for it is a DX4-120 I think. To upgrade to 233 you'll have to get a motherboard and CPU, if the present system has 72pin SIMM memory you should be able to use it in the Pentium. Pentium CPU's are socket 7 and it won't fit in the socket 3 you have now.
A memory upgrade might be good, it depends on how much you have now. If you have 64MB or more, that should be enough for win95 or 98.

pete i have 32mb ram where would i get this motherboard u was talking
about from or the 120 cpu to fit socket.
