Hello all, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I recently bought a new Compaq computer (found it at a great price), the only issue I have is that the power supply is a little wimpy (300W). Since I plan to add a PCI Express video card, I was hoping to replace it with a spare 420W I'd had in an old rig. However, I can't seem to remove the current 300. The screws come out no problem, but there is still something holding it in place, I think from the other side of the case, which cannot be opened. Anyone have any experience with these, or am I outta luck? The model is a Presario SR1750NX. Thanks in advance.

edit: Never mind, I figured it out.

I've just purchased the same computer and I'm thinking of upgrading the video card as well, could you help me with the problem that you have previously encountered (PSU Stuck) and tell me if there has been any problems at all with changing the PSU.

Make sure the PSU is upgradeable to a standard design. Companies like Compaq and HP have nasty habits of making stubborn/incompatible parts, forcing you to replace more than you bargained for or buy their mediocre parts at insane prices.
