well, are the IPs invalid? check what they are and be sure they haven't been changed recently to an already in-use address. try pinging that ip address in question, and if it goes through, then you know something is occupying that address already.

our network is all dynamic and the ip adress just says 0.0.0.0

have you checked to be sure that "obtain an ip address automatically" is still selected on these computers? Whenever I get the "limited or no connectivity" warning on my servers, it's almost always remidied by reseating/replacing the ethernet cables.

Try restarting the DHCP server very common for them to get MAC addresses stuck. (if windows dhcp server just restart the DHCP server service)

juniper was alluding to this, but perhaps a little more clarification might be useful. What are you using as your DHCP server? If you're using a hardware firewall/router, you need to ensure that the DHCP server is enabled through it's web interface. This may require more troubleshooting that starts with the machines that are working. Are they configured with manually assigned IP addresses? If they are, and your firewall's DHCP server is disabled, your scenario would be the likely result.
