On my D-Link 1080G, I can choose between infastructure and ad hoc modes. Whats the difference? Is one better than the other in certain things? Thx All.

thanks, but i still hav one question: is ad-hoc only for 802.11b, or is 4 G as well?

Ad Hoc is the method of connecting without an access point or router and works the same way with either speed.
