Sound Card problems

my sound card is not DirectSound compatible and thus is causing several failures in applications, ie. diablo II. I need suggestions for inexpensive replacements which are directsound compatible. I do not want to spend a lot of money on this, less than $50. Can anyone help??

If you need a PCI card you could try Creative Labs ENSONIQ AUDIO($25-30) or SOUND BLASTER 16($45-50)and if you need a ISA sound card you could try
HI-VAl 16BIT 3D SOUND($12-20)or creative labs SOUND BLASTER 16 ISA($45-50.
