AVG anti virus software pros and cons

I really want to dump McAfee and I think I want to run AVG. I would like to hear some opinions from here tho before I do this. Also I need to know how to completely get rid of McAfee Thanx J M

Either Avast or AVG are good... Avast gets better press around here these days...
