2k machine can't see drives in XP machine. Ok reverse way.

Setup;

Box 1; 2k tower
Box 2; XP Pro Laptop

Both with same username & password
Both have drives set for shareing
No firewall

2k machine can see the XP Laptop, but only the name of the computer. It sees' no drive leters.
XP Laptop can see the 2k tower AND the drives.
BOTH access the internet ok.

Router/Gateway; Westell VersaLink 327W (wireless DSL modem/router).

When I click on the computer name under 'Computers Near Me' it returns;
"***** is not accessible. Access is denied".

Are you are certain the firewall is off in the XP PC for all Network connections?

Can you ping each PC? Can you get on line with each PC.

Maybe read http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm and turn off simple file sharing if it is currently enabled.
