Could any one please help, i am having a problem where this computer running Windows 98 O/S.

the computer sometimes gives a blue screen on shut down giving the following error message.... " A fatal exeption occurred OE has occurred at 0028 FF01046E in VXD ks (01) + 0000198E. The currant aplication will be terminated."

I have noticed that there are TWO Direct Memory Access Controler,s listed in Device Manager Could any one tell me if this normal, or is it the cause of the problem?

One of the Direct Memory Access Controler,s in resources shows the input output icons in blue.

But in the other Direct Memory Access Controler,s Resource section they all have like no entry signs in red.

Could any one please advise me? Thanks in advance.

when i got double ups on my 98 machine i normally uninstalled/Delete them both and clicked the refresh button and it search and found the right driver and installed it...
then clicked ok, and closed everything and shutdown the computer. for about a coffee zip. and powered it back up and problem fixed..

[Not meaning a fix, but maybe an option..]
