Windows XP Pro "start menu" doesnt exist

Ok basicaly, my start menu is currently set to "Classic Start Menu" but i would like to change it to the regular "Start menu" (so that i can skin it using windows blinds) however when i right click on the start menu>properties>Start menu>"Start menu" button does not exist... it is not visible, my only selection is classic. Any idea why it isnt appearing? thanks.

Could be a virus. Update your AV program, and check for viruses.

If no luck, then do a system restore.
