Hello,

I'm considering purchasing a high resolution mouse for precision control in programs such as Photoshop.

I understand that the high mouse dpi resolution is only a benefit for monitors with very high resloutions (or Hi Def monitors) and has no benefit in terms of precision.

What would be the best solution for precision control using a monitor set at 1280 x 1024 (that can go to 1800 x 1440 or higher if I tweak my graphics card)?

Thanks,

Rick Calic

I prefer to use a graphic tablet

They cost more but will out do any mouse on the market

Completely forgot about a tablet! Thanks.

I wonder if there is a compromise, or rather a better than standard mouse for precision? For example, is a Laser mouse better than an optical mouse?

I have an old Logitech mouse that is about 4 years old and I love the fact it doesn't have the beveled sides like all the new mice.
