I'm trying to connect a couple of PC's with 54Mbps Wireless USB Lan Adaptors in adhoc mode. I get everything working great with ICS and all, but within a few minutes the connection starts to degrade (48Mbps, 32Mbps, 12Mbps and so on) until the connection dies. It happens with both adaptors on both PC's even though they report the signal strength as excellent. Cycling the adaptors restores the connection back to 54Mbps, but after a minute or two the degradation starts all over until it totally craps out an hour or so later. This happens even if I disconnect all other USB devices. None of my laptops have this problem so interferance shouldn't be an issue.
Any ideas what could be causing this or where the problem might lie? Anything I could try?
