hard drive

Please help. I have reinstalled windows 98 se. then i installed windows xp home edition upgrade. on my sons pc. the hard drive was a 40 gig. but after installing . the hard drive is only 2 gig.I have converted to ntfs.but still have no space left on my hard drive. :confused:

If there is nothing on the drive that you want to save, then I suggest that you erase the drive and reinstall windowsXP, and let the installation routine format the drive. Don't worry about only having an upgrade disk, it is the same as the full version, except that duing the installation, you will be prompted for proof that you are entitled to the upgdrade. All you need to do is change the Win XP CD for the Win 98x, and then back again.
