I have set up remote desktop web connection in my windows server 2003 at home as i want to connect it from office to home. I followed the examples given here.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/northrup_03may16.mspx

The reason why i want to use the web connection is because my office pc does not have direct access to the internet. We use only the browser for surfing by setting the proxy in internet options.

Things i have set in windows server 2003.
Install IIS, WWW. Use the default port 80. Enable the RDC in System>Remote tab. Set the router port forward for 3389 and 80. Everything that is stated in the above link.

I can view the website that i host that means the IIS is working.
Now when i try the http://[my public ip]:[80]/tsweb/ , i manage to get into the remote desktop web connection page. At the server text box, i tried enter my public ip [218.x.x.x] and also the internal ip which is 192.168.1.5 but both of them give a
"VBSCRIPT:remote desktop disconnected. Client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connection. Please try connecting again later."

Am i missing anything here? i have followed the link guide above. Please help me out on what to do next or what to check on?

You need to be allowed to run active x scripts. check your security settings in in IE.

Current setting
---------------
Download signed activeX controls - Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls - Disable
Initialise and script ActiveX controls not mark as safe - Disable
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - enable
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting - Enable

Browser Internet connection proxy settings.
port 1080
Checked - Use the same proxy server for all protocols

Could it be anything to do with the company proxy?

Of course it could. If you have a proxy then they may not allow active X to run for instance.
