Hi, I have a Clie PEG-NZ90 pda and pc os is winxp.

I was installing some of the software off the Sony installation cd onto my puter, when I got to installing the Album Plugin, (the import/export of pics from clie to puter), it didn't install all the way. When I would try to re-install I would see the installation wizard and then this message:

"Are You sure you want to completely remove 'Clie Album Plugin' and all its components?"

Since I figured something went wrong I clicked yes and then I received this message:

Unhandled Exception
Error Code: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: CAReg
Setup will be terminated

I tried uninstalling in Add/Remove programs but received same messages. I then went into Safe Mode and tried to uninstall it and still received same message. I tried searching for the DLL file on the hdd and on the cd found nothing.

Can anyone please tell fix this? I am not sure what to do.

Thank you
Gracious :)

First thing you should do is run an registry cleaner to assure the file was completely erased from your computer.

is better to do than using a add/remove software?

Hi gracious! I'm wondering if your best bet is going to be using a restore point...of course provided you've not used Black Vipers tweaks and disabled it...:)

I would pick a time before the mess and see if that gets rid of things for you...

Thank you Whyzman! Well my hubbie needed to get this album plugin like yesterday and so I used a program called AddRemove 4 good and that did the trick. We can move the pic album from his pda to the puter and now I am trying to figure out how to pull out each pic to email them and the software they give doesn't let you do very much...still figuring that one out. I can't move any of the pics to another image software but there has got to be a way and I just have to find it.
