I just recently purchased a game and part of the game states that it needs "16 MB supported OpenGL, capable video card with Open GL and DirectX 8.0 compatable driver". Could some one please help me in what this means, especially the "16 MB supported OpenGL"

Ok, what that means is that the game requires a graphics card that is OpenGL compatable and that has at least 16mb of video RAM.

Any 3D vid card with 16MB of RAM will support OpenGL, but there are various levels of performance that you can expect between different vid cards. There's also the little matter of onboard video that has to be taken into account, because some onboard video adapters do indeed support 16MB of system RAM for themselves yet do not offer an adequate level of OpenGL support.
I guess the easiest way to answer this question without shoving you into the world of vid cards is to just tell us what game you want to play, then tell us your system specs. We can take it from there.
