Is it possible in any way to find out the maximum hard disk memory space, a given bios support? Is there any software for finding this information?

Are you talking about how much memory your system has or are you talking about how big your hard drive is? Well to find out how much memory you have or Ram you go to (start)then (settings)then (control panel)then (system) then the top tab saying(performance) it shows how much ram you have or memory(ie..64or32). Also it shows the percentage of hard drive space you have left.

Actually i want to upgrade my hard disk space.I wanted to know as to what is the maximum limit of the hard disk, that i can buy so that the bios can support it.
Basically the only way I know of is to know what motherboard and BIOS version you have. With most boards manufactured over the last several years there have been updates to allow larger sized drives. So if you have the BIOS ID string you should be able to find out all sorts of info about it by using one of the BIOS links here:Trish's Escape from Hardware Hell (http://www.hardwarehell.com/)
Of course having the manual for the motherboard would also tell you the maximum size of the drive. If you don't have it try the manufacturers website, most of them have the manuals available for downloading.
