I need to upgrade my video card and I want to make sure that I am getting the right card that is compatable with my mother board. What do I need to look for? My old card was a 3dfx voodoo3 and the one that I want to replace it with is a Nvidia Geforce4. Can some one tell me what I need to look for?

Vid card compatibility depends on the expansion slot type and spec, and of course the vid card has to match this. You need to give us some more info as to the slot type and what chipset you have.

If this is not the right info, let me know and I will go back and check further. Motherboard chipset is : Intel 82440BX, i440BX.
Memory slots consist of 128 mb sdram, (2) 256 mb sdram
It has 1 isa, 5 pci, 1 agp. Hope this is helpful.

Ok, so you've got the old version of AGP 4x, huh? Hmmm... that will limit what you can get. And of course a system that old can only go so far. How much money do you want to sink into it?

Since it is an old system, I don't want to put a whole lot into it. I was thinking around 35 to no more than 50 bucks. Is this feasable?

Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814153024) you go. That should work.
