I Have A Linksys Wireless Router 624 With No Usb Connection And A Hp Deskjet 656c Printer It Has Usb. I Got A Usb Converter To Rj45 Also Usb Connection Gender Changer But It Came With Software Drivers No Explanation Can I Hook The Printer Direct To The Rj25 Of The Router
I'm Trying Not To Have The Printer Connected To A Cpu. Any Ideas I 'm
Trying Not To Use A Wireless Print Server
Anyone Have An Ideas

Hmmm...I don't know that you can go directly into the router ( or, your particular router) with your USB printer via a LAN adapter. It appears that you need something (print server) to "interpret." My assumption may be incorrect. Here's from D-link:

What you might want to do is contact RAM Electronics a former advertiser here on the PC Guide Forums and ask them if the setup you are envisioning will work, or if you need a different adapter...They have an 800 # here to contact: http://www.ramelectronics.net/
There would be no way for that printer to obtain, or hold onto an IP address. Thus there is no way for it to be networked without a print server. Printers with built in network connections are available, as are print servers (probably the cheaper router).
