Name of program

Hi Guys,
I'm not sure which forum to post this question on, but here go's

I understand that their is a program that allows you to put a game on to the HDD thus avoiding using the CD/DVD drive.
Could someone please tell me the name of this program.

THE WAY I DO IT IS TO CREATE AN ISO OF THE DISC IN QUESTION.THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO DO THIS START LEARNING THOSE HERE http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=how+to+create+an+iso

THEN I WOULD MOUNT THE ISO IMAGE WITH A FREE TOOL SUCH AS DAEMON TOOLS.AND THERE YOU HAVE IT.THE NEWLY CREATED ISO ACTS JUST AS THE DISC WOULD YOU NOW CAN PUT YOUR DISC AWAY FOR SAFE KEEPING.

What you are wanting is Paragon CD-ROM Emulator (http://www.cdrom-emulator.com/) or Alcohol Software's Alcohol 120% (http://www.alcohol-software.com/). The later has a 30 day free trial that you can download here (http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/index.php). Both products create a virtual CD/DVD-ROM drive on your computer that you can load an image of a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM into.

Do not use this software to make images of copy-protected games. In most cases the image will be corrupt and will not run.

Don't even try to make an image of any Microsoft CD-ROM (including MS games) it will crash the Paragon program and with Alcohol the image will be corrupt and will not run.

Paragon's virtual CD-ROM drives do not support CD audio so be sure to install all of the games audio files to the hard drive when you install the game, and for the same reason do not make images of DVD movies or music CDs they will not play.

the way that i have described you can play virtually any disc copyright or not(including microsoft) maybe im not understanding exactly what he is looking for?
