its the very middle peice, under the FDD cable. i see that it goes into a pci slot either pci or pci-e x16. what the purpose? note* it comes with a ati crossfire mobo.

You know how with NVidia's SLI they have that little flippy card for SLI vs non-SLI mode? It's sort of like that. Only with ATI's Crossfire, the little card thingie works more like an RDRAM continuity module. It goes in the other PCIe x16 slot.
