Ok, any help would be much appreciated, well my sisters pc has been working
fine for ever, and one day the screen wont come on says no signal and the tower beeps 3 times, i looked up the bios and its ami and it says its a Base 64KB Memory Failure, not the graphic card, but if i had to guess id say it was the graphic card cause the plastic componet glued to the nvidia chip to keep it from
overheating had fallen off, any ideas?

Welcome tohttp://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!

It might be time for a new motherboard battery. I'd leave the old one out for 20-30 minutes before putting a new one in...that should clear the CMOS.

Or, you might want to just check your motherboard for instructions on clearing the CMOS and see if that helps...

Also, the AMI BIOS beeps codes also show a 3 beep pattern(1 long, 2 short) that indicates a bad video card. And if its heatsink fell off, then I would suspect that the video card's chip may have overheated and fried. Suggest trying a different video card.

try reseating the ram a few times (dirty contacts) if the above doesn't work.

just want to add this effective way. before you reseat the RAM use a pencil eraser to rub the ram pin, this pencil eraser will remove the oxidized dirt in the pins of your ram. I've always use this pencil eraser thing and it is effective.
