I put everything together. No Posts, no beeps. I have tried everything I can find on the web and in the manual. I read Budfred's thread. It wasn't very encouraging. I'm having the exact same problem, but this is the first system I've put together.
The fans are running, but I can't tell if anything elese is happening. The harddrive and DVD Drive do not appear to be working. Please help.

Components:
MSI K8N Neo4 Platninum Motherboard
Antec Sonata II with 450-Watt power supply
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ "Venice" 400FSB
Crucial RAM: MS-7125 System 1 GB 184-Pin Unbuff Dimm 128x64 DDR PC2100
eVGA GeForce 6200 128MB
IBM Hitachi 80GB Deskstar 120GXP 7200rpm Ultra Parallel ATA100
Sony DRU-810A Dual Format Double Layer DVD RW/CDRW

No Floppy, and an old mouse, keyboard, and monitor (all in working order)

A few things I've tried:
Reset CMOS with jumpers and battery. Took out motherboard to make sure its not grounding out. I took out the RAM and started it up and still no beeps. I am not sure whether my case or my motherboard has a speaker. Would an external speaker work? I have reset the RAM and the video card. I don't know what else to do.

External spk won't work. You chould test your CPU, RAM, Video Card and Power supply on another system and test your mb with some other components.

The only systems I have to test with is a HP Pavilion and a Dell notebook. Will the components be compatible?

Notebooks have their own standard, they usually are different from PCs. Any other P4 system is a good test bed.

have you tried the sticky posts above for no beep, no video and trblshtg

did you use a build flow chart at all, PSU 115/220 setting correct, Pwr on, reset, spkr wiring correct

hang in there, all will be revealed

What you should do is check the memory because some types of memory are incompatible with other types. This would also explain the reason why you have no post. As for the internal speaker not working you should do what CAPEQUAHOG said and check your power on, reset, and speaker connectors on your motherboard for correct positioning. If this does not help you, reply back to me immediately.

I have read the other posts for no beep no post. Nothing that I knew how to do worked.

I am going to test my components on another system.

Does my MB have a speaker? What does it look like?

Oops! I had my jumper settings wrong on my HD.

Thanks for all your help!
