i have a compaq... no response from the usb bus.

it doesnt recognize my printer or camera. has my usb port quit working??

if you post more info about you computer it will be easier for the tech's here to help you e.g windows, pc model, was it working before? is it only one usb port or all of them..

Have all the USB ports on your pc stopped works ?

Can you uses another USB port ?

Are you using a hub and is that working ?

here goes.....compaq presario
intel
celeron cpu 2.70 ghz
2.70 GHz 248 mb of ram

the usb plug is in front of the computer box......thought is was one usb port there....??

it was working not now ...wont print out pages or download any pictures from my camera....im not familiar with how the usb works so im in need of a helping hand. thanks..

If you plug the camera, printer into a USB port at the back of the pc does it work ?

Have you been inside the case to add/remove anything ?

The USB in front of your casing is somewhat extension that is connected to your Motherboard using a cable. try to use the USB at the back of your casing, if the back USB work, well there might me a loose connection of cables in the front USB. Or it might be that the front USB port is loose.
