DDR333 memory slot capacity of MOBO for a DDR400 memory modules

Im using a MOBO that has a limit of DDR333 capacity of memory slots. I just want to clarify if it is OK if i will use a DDR400 memory modules for my MOBO.
by the way my MOBO is not a DUAL CHANNEL memory slots.

would that be fine? or is there any conflict that will happen?

It will work fine. It will run at the slower DDR333 speeds but other than that it will be fine.

I currently have a Corsair 512MB DDR400 stick running in an old HP that only supports DDR266 paired up with a Crucial 512 DDR266 stick without problems.

I can now have a 1.5 GB memory.
