Hey ppl.

I have a acer veriton 5100 with a s58m motherboard here.
The problem is the power switch from the fron panel is not connected anywhere on the motherboard and the motherboard has power but i can find out to turn the computer on
i have had it running but once shut down it will not tun on using the power supply switch at the rear as this only provides power to the motherboard and dosnt fire up the computer.

So i need a motherboard diagram or help on what might be the problem in this case ??

Mark.

How did you get it running that one time?

Are there any wires coming out of the front panel power-on button?
If so, then check the MB for 2 terminals labeled 'Power On', 'Pow-On', or similar. If these terminals exist, then connect the 2 wires on the power-on button to them.
If there are no wires coming from the power-on button, then it may be defective, and have to be replaced. In the meantime, you may be able to turn on the system by shorting out the above 2 MB terminals with a flat bladed screwdriver.
