right now it's ether the plextor PlexWriter 16x10x40 and the Yamaha 16x10x40

right now i'm thinking the yamaha because it's cheaper and i have heard good thing about yamaha

Another thing i'm going to be doing is game copying so if one does it better please let me know.

A good place for fairly rigorous and fair reviews of all types of storage media is Storage Review (http://www.storagereview.com).

Plextor makes great cdrws...arguably the best...I have heard some not so great things about yamahas, but...depends who you ask...

Whatever you get, look for burn-proof...

Most cdrws should burn 80 minute cds (I've never seen one that wouldn't) even old ones do...

If it's just a small price difference, I'd go with the Plextor, in fact they even make drives for other companies (Iomega to name one) that put their own brand name on them...they seem to have the best reputation...

Hello. Check this article at MaximumPC (http://www.maximumpc.com/fromthemag/2001/feb/index.html) for both Yamaha and Plextor CD-RW. They didn't rate the Yamaha too well but liked the Plextor. Hope this helps.
