What happened:

The dvd drive was locked up so I went inside my pc and pulled out the power cable(probably the worst thing i could've done).

What's happening:

When I boot up my pc the memory test turns out OK, but the IDE tests don't even initialize.

What i tried:

I tried different IDE ports, different power cables. I don't know what to do.

Welcome to the PCGUIDE forum! :)

try to boot your PC without connecting the DVD-ROM. If your PC boot normally, turn off your computer then plug the DVD-ROM and when you're plugging the IDE cable to the DVD-ROM dont exert too much force.

other thing you can do is go to the CMOS settings and check if the DVD-ROM is detected, if not tell me.
