Crashes at game launch

Hi Im running XP, Geforce 4 5950ultra, I have the latest drivers, directx. When I launch any game I hear a click noise from my computer and it freezes. I went into dxdiag and ran some of the test, but they crash too. Is my video card shot? ty John

Reseat the video card making sure it's fully seated.
If that does not help, then swap it out, or see if it works in another system. If another card works, or your card does not work in another system, then it's probably bad.

Geforce 4 5950ultraThat's a GeForce 5 series GPU, not 4. Thus the model number is 5950 Ultra.

Sounds like an overheating problem or perhaps insufficient power. Need more info about your system.

Its also possible you have a problem with direct x, currupt files etc.
