What are some online resources for PC construction, such as sites which compare the various components & their combinations, etc? Also, what are some good/cheap online sources for these parts?
Dan
The best thing to do would be to go to www.google.com (http://www.google.com) and do a search.
Or you can try http://www.pcmech.pair/index.shtml http://www.tomshardware.com/ http://www.maximumpc.com/
And try the links on the left at MaximumPC also. Trishes Escape From Hardware Hell is one of the best sites around. If you need more let us know.

CSO (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com) and Pricewatch (http://www.pricewatch.com) are very good places to check for prices, watch the ones on Pricewatch that don't post shipping charges, you're usually better off to pay $10 more for the part and half as much or less for shipping.
My site posted below has several good links for info on building computers, Trish's is there, and some other good ones. Look around the forums for a recent post by mjc and check out his site, he might have some good links I haven't posted on my site. Lots of the computer related sites on both our pages and the sites posted above also have links lists you can check.
And of course don't forget the PC Guide (http://www.pcguide.com) which is an outstanding resource.
Sorry about the link, didn't check after I posted...it's fixed.
