Wait for CONROE?

Does anyone have any initial impressions re: CONROE scheduled for July release. I want to build my new machine and have been thinking in terms of an
Athlon 64 2X 4800+ as the CPU of choice but......
The initial mini reviews of the CONROE seems pretty impressive- perhaps as much as a 30% improvement in many benchmarks. True 65nm technology.
I don't have a pressing need to do the build now and could wait a few mo- any sense if this may be a true groundbreaker in procs? Probably would also go with the new 7900 gtx in SLI.

Yeah I agree. Whether it ends up being Intel or AMD on top I would wait. The upcoming new cores are a big deal.

nVidia may be coming out with the 8*** series somewhere around that time as well. That's speculation on my part, but I think they are about due for their next series soon.

Just thinking about it gets me all fuzzy inside. :p :D
