Welcome to the PcGuide. What are your other choices? What laptop are you looking at? Generally, anything with "HyperMemory" or "TurboCache" is to be avoided. It also depends on what you will be doing with this laptop. So, what make/model are you looking at, and what are you going to be using this pc for?

oh by the way,,
i wanted a 17 inch WUXGA.. whatever need the best,, screen does matter cos i do graphics for print as well,.

so thats my basic requirement,, and there is a tv tuner in the laptop as well,. with all that i cant exceed 1600 dollars,,

options are everything under 1600 dollars,. I know what you thinking. but i have already spent a gig amount to my desktop.
this is actually a mobile solution when i'm away from my PC,.

N.B. - please do not give any recommendations for MAC/powerbooks..! not that i know its the best,, but for now i need a laptop to run media center 2005 .. waiting for your reply,, tx
