Folks,

I have a question that I have never seen posted before. I have installed a new proc. and mobo and will be adding an existing h/d to the mix. The problem/question is this....how do I remove the old mobo drivers?? I want to install the new ones ( of course ). Will the new drivers overwrite the old one? No? The what order should I proceed. I do not want to format my H/D.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ozzy

If you have a new mobo and CPU, there are no drivers to be removed. There may be a BIOS upgrade, or updated chipset drivers available on the mobo mfr's web site. You will, however, probably have problems with taking a hard drive from another machine without formatting it. It will want to load the existing Windows registry, hardware profiles, etc., which most likely aren't going to apply to your system now. You could have made provisions while the old mobo/CPU was still installed, but I don't think that's an option now.
