Does anybody know whether there would be a problem/conflict if I installed both Flight Simulator 2002 and 2004 on the same system? Right now I have 2004 installed, but my 8 year-old son wants me to install FS 2002 because he prefers some of the planes on that version that are not on the 2004 version. I have been hesitant to install both versions, but then I figured, well, let's ask. Thanks.

No problems that I know of. Then again, you should also try to find downloadable versions of the plane models that he likes. That way you won't waste 3GB of space on your HDD.

Thanks Paul. Any suggestions on where to download? This would be my druthers as it would indeed reduce the space used on the hdd and generally keep the bloat down, though I have space to spare actually. This is the family computer and is pretty lean in terms of programs and stuff, mostly games for my son. It's an alby nf2 400 ultra, 2600 mobile at 11 X 230, 2-3-3-10, 1T, 512 X 2 DC, raptor 74 and 120g WD storage drive, 6600GT.

Well, I backed up my hdd and installed 2002 and put my 8 year-old troubleshooter to work, and so far, no problems and lots of fun. He loves flying the Navy Corsair on the 2002 version (not available on 2004). BTW, I googled and found one nice web site with FS downloads. I'm sure there are others, but I downloaded the X15, which works on both 2002 and 2004 and my son is flying it as I type. Very very cool. I'll download some more at work where I have a high-speed connection. I'll put the link below.

Thanks again.

Hey Jason, I wanted to be sure to thank you for that link. You are correct, it's an awesome resource. I've been a downloadin' fool today in my office and I need to get back to work. :D :D

Thanks again.
