View Full Version : Is ISP able to Cap P2P dl speed ?

Almost all my frens using the same ISP have around 10kbps dl speed, when our max speed is 60~100kbps, this is only on torrent since we rarely use any other p2p programmes, and things we dl are still very new which over over 1k ppl downloading
But normal dl speed doesn't seem to be affected

ISPs may throttle torrents, most deny doing so.

Remember that your dl speed is your peer's ul speed.

yea i know it's based on peer's ul speed but connected to 300 ppl and running at 10kb dl ?

The basic answer is, yes. They can do whatever they want.
