Audigy 2 drive not working

i just installed an Audigy 2 card/drive set onto my system, and the drive doesn't seem to work.

i can get sound from the card, but not the drive.

any help?

If everything on the drive is properly and securely connected and properly configured, then see if the same problem happens on another system.
If so, then the drive may be defective.

What model do you have?

Is it the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro with the external drive?
or
Is it the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum with the drive in a 5 1/4 drive bay?

If it is the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum;
Do you have the ribbon cable, and the round audio cable connected to the drive from the sound card and the small 4 pin molex power cable (floppy drive type) plugged into the power header on the drive? (Make sure it isn't a fan only connector)

Did you properly uninstall your old sound device before you installed the new card?

Is the software for the sound card properly installed?

Was the drive hooked up properly when you installed the software for the sound card?
