Got up this AM, no internet. Call Verizon DSL, before 7am I get two diff techs who say they cant hear me, gee thats funny, the computer voice apparently heard me. I finally work with a tech who says its showing into the router, linksys wireless B. I disc the router and go direct from the DSL modem, still NG. Now he says its in my PC. I'm not convinced but I let him go. I then swap the modem to the computer I'm wireless on and have another tech on line, get no where, he says its now in this PC or the software, whatever, or was in the router to begin with. I now go back to the first PC and reconnect the modem direct again and bang, i'm on line direct thru the modem. So now I go out and buy a new router anyway, hook it up and everything is up ok after fixing passwords etc.
OK, my question is has anyone had a linksys wireless B router go bad after two or three years, cant remember? I'm still not sure the orig router is bad but will leave well enough alone with the new one, wirelee G to the tune of $70.
