My computer clock keeps adding one hour after I set my time back to what it was. I changed my time to 9:00 PM from 10:00 PM, then few minutes later, it added one more hour by it self. I ran my anti-virus and nothing was found. plz help! thanks for ur time.
Are you sure it is setup for your timezone? Windows XP will automatically sync with a clock and set the clock to the right time in your time zone. If you set it wrong that could explain why it keeps getting bumped forward. Should be an option for time zone in the same place where you changed the time.

Might be a bad CMOS battery.
Strange it is changing just before DST change weekend though.

Yesterday was daylight savings time. Your computer is advancing, because it it gaining the correct hour. You're computer must be set for daylight savings time. It automaticly sets your time for you when you sign on the net. It's according to the world atomic clock time. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I was just looking this up myself, but it's not currently not daylight savings time, so I had to find a fix. Just in case anyone else runs into this:
double click time in lower right of screen
under the time zone tab, disable the automatic adjustment.
go back to the date and time and set your time back one hour earlier than the current time
apply the changes.
go back to the time zone tab and turn on automatic adjusting
there you go.. time is now functioning as it should...
This thread is a few months old. At the time it was daylight savings time.
Please check the dates of a post before bringing it back to life.
