i have a pc downstairs that is already connected to the internet (dial up). I have another computer (pc) upstairs but it doesn't have an internet. recently i bought a wireless routor that came with a wireless cardbus adapter, wireless pci adapter and a wireless access point to put on the pc downstairs and also bought a wireless usb adapter for the computer upstairs so i can share internet and things with the computer downstairs. The only problem is i don't now how to work all of these things together. I installed everything but i can't seemed to connect the upstairs computer using a share internet connection. Evrytime i try to connect it disconnects it and says " error 178, The computer you are dialing into is not answering, try again later". Do i need a modem even though im using a wirless usb adapter to connect to the downstairs computer which also has a wireless router because i don't know what type of modem i use or if i even got one. And how i can get my internet working using a shared internet from my downstairs computer.
