we r in the construction business & we have a lots of construction activity happening around our office.
our main server windoes 2003 is in our main project office which is about 500 meters from our project site office. we have 2 antennas between the 2 offices with static ip address. we have 6 machines in our office all hardwired to a swtich, static ip addressing, winxp pro with sp2.
i can ping to each of the antenna, to the main server & the DB server, very successfully.
now the problem we r facing is that, we have a construction software that connects to the DB server. during the course of the day the software becomes too slow to retrieve data from the DB & most times we lose connectivity with the db server. then we have to reboot the machine or restart the application.........
in the local security settings of the machines, we have disabled "disconnect client when logon hours expire" & have changed "amount of idle time required before suspending session" from 15 mins to 600 minutes.
the technical support team of the application, says that we r losing connectivity to the DB server.
how do i rectify this.........any suggestions.
