Remote desktop

Anyone please help!!!

I'm wanting to control my home PC from work however, there is some problems. Home PC is connected to a router then to a cable modem. From home I can VPN into my work network however, only if I connect directly to my cable modem (disconnecting the router).

Does this mean I will never be able to see my home PC from work if the home PC is connected to the router?

What program(s) will allow me to remotely control my home PC?

DHCP is enabled and there is a Gateway IP, DNS server too.

Any help?

Some home routers allow VPNs to pass through and some do not. What router brand/model are you using?

PC Anywhere is one application that allows you to do what you are describing if Remote Desktop doesn't.

2 different problems.

1. VPN from home to work.

2. Take over home desktop FROM work.

help?

free programs?
does router cause problems? DHCP? gateway? i have AIRlink router.
