Hi

I just recently upgraded my old machine. It's now P4 2.8, Gigabyte 915ME motherboard, 512 ram, 80 GB Samsung SATA HDD, FX 5200 graphics card, and Win XP.

The problem is that my system now does not boot. It gives me a OC failure error after showing the graphics card information screen. It says please enter setup or press F1 to continue. If I continue, XP starts normally, but suddenly the system will restart and while booting it will get hanged. If I do reset again, it wont start at all.

Plsssssssssss someone help me.

Have you installed fresh copy of Win XP?

The problem seems to be within BIOS, not Windows. I am guessing you are talking about the BIOS splash screen, and not a graphics card screen here. Just enter BIOS by hitting Del when prompted and make sure all of the settings are appropriate to your PC. You aren't actually trying to OC are you?

Did you clear the CMOS settings after doing the upgrades before booting the system for the first time? Could just be it is expecting to find the other CPU and the settings are conflicting. Try clearing the CMOS. If that doesn't work, and all of the settings are correct for your hardware it is probably time to flash to a more recent BIOS.
