WEP Help!!

Hi all...I had a wireless network that was working great until i added wep. (64bit/40) I am able to get on with my laptop just fine as well as with the desktop the router is conected to. but my other desktop just won't connect and i'm not sure what i'm missing. the only thing i changed was wep. i have added the key to the network preferences, selected '1' as the key number (using key 1 from router...i have the same key and number on the laptop) and am configured to 'open' as opposed to 'shared' as this seems to give my laptop the best speeds. both b and g are selected. what am i missing?? any help appreciated!

How are you putting in the WEP key? Are you using an english phrase, and letting the devices do the conversion to a WEP key, or copying the actual key to each device? Sometimes different manufacturers will use different algorithems to get to the key, so try just generating a key on the router, and manually copying that to each device.

Also remember they are case sensitive....(mjc who whistles innocently, while staring dumbly at the glowing led indicating the capslock key was pressed)
