I'm sure most of you have heard about this Content Protection for Recordable Media Crap http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif so does this mean that I wont be able to put Mp3's on my hard drive from cds I have bought fair and square??????? or make mixes of my favorite songs to take with me on a road trip??? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif who the hell do these f#@!ers think they are god!!!!

please someone tell me it ain't so....

But at 26400 (the best i get most of the time) takes forever to load! Spread the word buddy, we write their Paychecks!

What scares me most about this is the fact that as a "copy protection scheme" (which we all know that this won't be the main function of CPRM) it will be virtually bulletproof thanks to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. Anyone who tries to write software or create a device which circumvents CPRM will get the pants sued off of them.

Just like the MPAA uses CSS to control which players and which countries can play DVD movies, I'm sure that someone will leverage CPRM to their benefit (and to consumers' detriment). I only wish that I could obtain more information about CPRM so I know which assault on my freedom to use my computer I can expect.
