I'm trying to put together a pc for multimedia use, and I'm a bit (HUGE bit) confused on a couple points regarding tuner cards. I'm leaning toward one of the ATI Theater Pro 550 Chipset based cards like the POWERCOLOR T55E-P03 PCI-Express x1, but I'm still not sure of the following:
1) can I use an HDTV tuner with non-HDTV, which I have now, so I will be ready if I switch to HDTV?
2)Do I need TWO tuner cards to dvr two channels simultaneously?
3)Will the tuner cards tune all the non-premium channels I receive, some of which are numbered over 125?
4)How do I incorporate the cable box into all this for HBO/SHO?
5)Finally, what is the best wireless way to connect the pc to the tv, & what vid card(s) will connect to the wireless setup? What about remote control of all that? Which of these wireless links will xmit ALL video from pc to tv (e.g., mpeg, avi, vob, streaming, etc)?
