Light Problem

in the past week an orange light has been blinkin (this is usually to tell me my battery is low)
but even when its at 100% charged
how can i make the light stop?

We need more information, what brand/model of notebook it it?

One possiblity, just off the top of my head, is that the battery is beginning to fail and not quite get to a full charge...

its a dell inspiron 5150

I think what mjc is saying is this:
Notebook batteries are usually groups of cells wired together into a pack. If one of those cells in a pack is bad, the charging circuits will try to charge but never achieve full charge, so the orange light stays on.
