I have an ASUS A7V600-X mb, AMD2800+ proc, 2 hd's on the primary IDE, using onboard ethernet, sound, etc and various AGP graphics cards. I ran across the bad capacitor posts and checked, but I didn't notice anything glaringly obvious.
The issue is that the hd's are only recognized after a cold reboot, with nothing being recognized with a software shutdown or reset. Fiddling in the BIOS auto-detect setting I can get the drives to be recognized, but, again, after restarting to apply the changes, nothing.
Any ideas would be kindly appreciated!
