I am now downloading FF, due to much enlightenment on my vunerability caused by IE. I have heard something about FF being even more safer with the no script extension? What is this and how do I get it/enable it? I want to be completely "vaccincated" from any infectious parasites!

In FF go to Tools => Extensions => Get More Extensions.
That will take you to the extensions pages at the FF home site.
NoScript is one of the most popular ones there. There are also all sorts of extensions that add greatly to FireFox's usability...heck there are even some mindless games to add on...like Frogger, Solitaire and a Mine Sweeper...
NoScript, AdBlock, Print (it adds print functions to the right click context menu) are ones I always use.

After installing Firefox, open Firefox, click Tools>Extensions, then Find New Extensions. The site will list many types of extensions, find the No Script extension, double click and download it. It will install when you close and reopen Firefox the next time.
Edit: mjc beat me to this.

I love NoScript. Do keep in mind you will have to allow scripting on some known good sites to have proper functionality. So if you find a site you visit frequently that no longer works like it should or doesn't come up at all you will have set to let NoScript to allow it, or at least temporarily allow it. You can set certain known good sites to "always allow". Also if the web page has info coming from multiple sites, you can choose to only allow what you want to allow to run scripts.
It was a little frustrating at first wondering why sites didn't come up or only partially come up until I got used to looking at the little "S" icon to see if it was blocking the scripting on the page. But once you get used to it is a very powerful tool. ;)
