Could somebody please give me a hand on how to get my music files (mp3/wav) to transfer from pc to mp3 player, and stay in the transfered order? i am continously transferring files and they come out all shuffled.

any help at all would be great...

Short of adopting uniform naming scheme that starts something like 0001 qnd onward, I don't know of any foolproof method of keeping them in a particular order. Windows tends to list things in a sort of numerical/alphabetical order that is not case sensitive, Linux is case sensitve...other devices may or may not be case sensitive or list items in just purely alphabetical order, not dealing with numbers.

Does the device you are using support playlists and are you using them? If you aare how are you generating them...

What device are you using?

thanks for the reply, mjc.

i have a few player/recorders, but the one i am using at present is a Samsung YP-T5.

i have found a program, that will allow you to reorganize your tracks in anyway you see fit.

http://www.oliver-frietsch.de/reorganize/

so far it's been grat, just install it onto your player and go from there.

the base i started from is: http://www.murraymoffatt.com/software-problem-0010.html

again, thanks...

Gee...a nifty little proggie to do automagically what I was trying to describe to do manually. Looks like a winner there...
